My name is Lindsey Shannon. I grew up in Roswell, Georgia with my wonderful family. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I also have my Master's degree in Elementary Reading & Mathematics.
This is my seventh year as a first grade teacher in Gwinnett County. I taught first grade at Meadowcreek Elementary School for six years. This year is my first year teaching at Ferguson Elementary School.

In April of 2009, I married Chris Shannon. We met at UGA! We recently welcomed our son, Wesley, into the world. We are loving every minute of parenthood! We enjoy spending time with our family and friends, being an Aunt and Uncle to our adorable nephews, going to Georgia football games, fishing, camping, hiking, running, and traveling. I also love fashion and have a small addiction to shopping!

I had the honor of winning Teacher of the Year for the 2009-2010 school year at Meadowcreek Elementary. I even made it as a semi-finalist, in the top 20, in Gwinnett County!
